2014 Music at the Festival

The Woods Hole Film Festival has a long tradition of incorporating music into the film festival to make it a great festival experience, and this year is no different.

Opening Night, Saturday, July 26th kicks off with The Winding Stream, a documentary about the Carter/Cash family and we’ve got the music to match.

WAYWORN TRAVELERS

Both before and after screening of the film THE WINDING STREAM by Beth Harrington on Saturday, July 26th, traditional and modern renditions of Carter Family songs will be performed by Wayworn Travelers, an aggregation of Boston-area roots musicians who share a deep and genuine love of The Carter Family. Wayworn Travelers’ various members have performed with Howard ‘Louie Bluie’ Armstrong, Chris Smither, Tarbox Ramblers, Morphine, Michael Hurley, Miss Tess, Jethro Burns, Jim Kweskin, Guy Davis and others, at venues as diverse as Lincoln Center, The Country Music Hall Of Fame, The Boston Folk Festival, and The New York City Blues Festival, garnering praise from the New York Times, Boston Magazine, The Boston Music Awards and more along the way.
