J.C. Bouvier
J.C. Bouvier has been a familiar face at the Woods Hole Film Festival under various hats, including Managing Director, for over 10 years. He is also no stranger to the film festival world at large, having cut his arts administration teeth under Nicole Guilleumet at the Sundance Film Festival in the mid-nineties. J.C. has traveled extensively in film post-production circles working for leading editing software and hardware companies like Media 100, BorisFX, EditShare and Avid Technology. Mark Chester
Mark Chester has been a professional photographer since 1972. His photographs and/or feature stories have been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, and The Christian Science Monitor, among others. Chester’s book, No in America, is a collection of tongue-in-cheek photographs of no signs. He was the photographer for Charles Kuralt’s book, Dateline America, and his photographs are in permanent collections in the Baltimore, Brooklyn, Corcoran, Denver, Portland, and San Francisco Museums, among others. A graduate of the University of Arizona, Chester is a Copley Artist member, and teaches at the Falmouth Artists Guild. His newest book is Twosomes (www.twosomes.net.) His freelance column, “In My Mind’s Eye” is published by Gatehouse Media newspapers on the Cape including the Falmouth Bulletin.
Hortense Gerardo
Hortense Gerardo is a writer and anthropologist. Her works have been performed nationally and internationally, including: LaMama Experimental Theatre, the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, the International Performance Art Festival, the Venice Biennale, and the Nuit Blanche Festival in Toronto. Her award-winning feature-length screenplays include FOURHAND and DANCING IN EXILE. She is a Company One Theatre Playlab Unit Playwright (2018) and a New World Theatre Masterclass Playwright Fellow (2018). Judy Laster, Treasurer
Judy is the founder/director of the Woods Hole Film Festival, as well as a filmmaker and former policy attorney in the Massachusetts Legislature. She has been the Executive Director of the Festival for the past thirty years, leading it’s growth into the next generation and beyond. She also helms the Woods Hole Film Festival’s Film & Science Initiative and is the Executive Producer of a new feature documentary BONNIE BLUE: JAMES COTTON’S LIFE IN THE BLUES.
Alecia Jean Orsini Lebeda
Alecia is an award-winning independent filmmaker and multi-media professional. She is the President of Women in Film and Video New England and owns her own film production company Good Natured Dog Productions. In 2012 she was named one of the 40 under 40 by Cape & Plymouth Business Magazine.
Sandy Missakian
Sandy brings many years of entertainment experience in finance, production, business development and business affairs. She provides management consultant and/or legal services to a variety of companies and individuals, including film funds, high net worth individuals, production companies, multi-platinum recording artists, talent management companies, multi-media companies and even an all natural juice brand distributed in over 4000+ stores nationwide. In addition, Sandy has been producing and structuring financing for independent films through her Golden Child Pictures banner.
James Murray, President
Jim Murray, owner of JIM’S CLAM SHACK on the water in Falmouth, MA, previously owned and operated The Nimrod Restaurant & Jazz Lounge. Jim is a talented musician and has been a member of the Raw Honey band since the mid 1970’s.
Beth Murphy
Beth Murphy is the founder of Principle Pictures, a Boston-based company dedicated to making documentary films that educate, inform and inspire. Beth has led production crews to all corners of the world, often in war-torn or developing countries in order to focus on human rights and international issues. Megan Sanchez-Warner
Megan is an Executive Producer of television with over 15 years’ experience producing top-rated non-fiction programs in the US and Canada. She has produced over 175 hours of programming ranging from immersive crime documentaries to hit reality series. Megan is also an educator, author and Climate Reality Leader.
Rachel Somer
After an initial career as a photo editor in NYC, Rachel became a co-owner of The Picture Cube, a stock photo agency in Boston. After selling the company, she spent 15 years as an Overseer at the ICA in Boston where she was an active member of the performance committee. She helped WBUR create its first-in-the-nation environmental vertical.
