A leaf sheep (Costasiella kuroshimae) is a tiny, adorable species of sea slug—or sacoglossan sea slug—that looks remarkably like a cartoon sheep or a leaf. Found in shallow tropical waters near Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines, these creatures are famous for being one of the few animals in the world that can perform photosynthesis.

The Scout

Sofia works as a location scout for a network TV show shooting in New York City. This means a daily journey into the private spaces and lives of numerous city residents, photographing their properties and briefly stepping into the fabric of their lives. Over the course of a day filled with these encounters, Sofia plays witness to moments of curiosity, vulnerability, and quiet tension, until her work takes a sudden, personal turn.
