Museum of Science, Boston, Screenings 2022
The Woods Hole Film Festival is thrilled to announce a new collaboration with the Museum of Science, Boston to participate in the fourth season of Summer Thursdays in the Charles Hayden Planetarium and the Mugar Omni Theater. On every second, third, and fourth Thursday in June, July, and August, the Museum’s immersive theater spaces will feature spectacular performances and film screenings for an 18+ audience.
On third Thursdays, June 16, July 21, and August 18 at 7:30 pm, the Museum will host screenings and panel discussions in the Mugar Omni Theater featuring films from the Woods Hole Film Festival. The Woods Hole Film Festival’s Film and Science Initiative aims to help accelerate conversation and collaboration between filmmakers and scientists.
June 16: Bruce and Alvin by Josh Seftel, featuring a panel discussion with Alvin Pilot Bruce Strickrott, Woods Hole Oceanographic President and Director Peter de Menocal and Cinematographer Micah Garen, moderated by WBUR reporter Barbara Moran.
This event is presented in collaboration with the Yawkey Foundation and the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution.
July 21: After Antarctica by Tasha Van Zandt featuring an introduction by Will Steger
August 18: Our Future, Our Fight: Wildfires by Beth Murphy, featuring a conversation with director Beth Murphy and youth activist Jonah Gottleib.
